Aga Khan arrives

ISLAMABAD, Dec 2: Prince Karim Aga Khan, spiritual leader of Ismailis, arrived here on Tuesday night on a six-day visit to Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Water and Power and KANA Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao received the guest at the Chaklala Air Base. The prince’s prominent followers were also present at the Air base.

During his stay in Pakistan, Prince Karim Aga Khan will meet President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

He will go to Chitral on Thursday on a day-long visit where he will fly to Garam-Chashma and Booni by helicopter and will meet his followers on the same day.

Thousands of Ismailis have already arrived at Booni and Garam-Chashma to see their spiritual leader who is paying the visit there after 16 years.

Prince Karim Aga Khan will also attend the convocation of the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi and award degrees to the medical graduates.—APP
