LRC convenes meeting

LAHORE, Dec 1: The Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards have convened a meeting at the club premises on Tuesday (Dec 2) in connection with holding a special race meeting at the Racecourse on Dec 12.

All owners, trainers and riders have been advised to attend the meeting to be held at 11.30 am.

 All trainers have been directed to submit complete lists of their syces and horses to the secretary LRC by 10 am on Tuesday (Dec 2).

A card of minimum six events will be decided on Dec 12 comprising the Pakistan St. Leger to be run over 2000m, a class I, II and III combined handicap race, one each event for class IV and class V horses besides term races for two-year-old and three-year-old colts and fillies.

Meanwhile, LRC) stewards have decided to resume Lahore Gymkhana races from Wednesday (Dec 3).

A decision to this effect was taken at their meeting held last Sunday. Races will now be held twice-a-week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Acceptances for Wednesday’ s races will be released on Tuesday morning.
