LAHORE, Dec 1: Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Qasim Zia has formed committees to expose provincial government’s “false” claims about its performance in various sectors.

Zia told reporters in his chamber here on Monday that he himself would reply through media to Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi’s claims about his government’s achievements.

At least 20 committees comprising opposition MPAs had also been formed to expose claims of various ministers by holding press conferences a day after briefings of provincial ministers.

He wondered that the Punjab government was planning to publish its performance report though, what he said, it had failed to give any worthwhile service to masses during its first year of rule.
