REFERENCE Asim Ilahi Shaikh’s letter ‘Number plates’ (July 13). I agree with him that number plates with the BD series are not being given by the Excise Department.

I had bought a new car in 2015 and was allotted registration number BDH. I have yet to be given an original number-plate by the government department concerned.

I face serious problems when I would like to sell my car. Moreover, the police have also stopped me on countless occasions.

I have a suggestion: let us to move the high court seeking a directive to the government departments concerned to do the needful.
