Creditable Performance by youngsters

KARACHI, Nov 29: Young Pakistani sailors excelled in Optimist and Laser 4.7 classes in the 2nd Gulf Sailing Trophy held during Nov-28 in Doha, Qatar.

Children of different age groups from Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Pakistan participated in the two-day event.

Mir Ahmad Mansoor, Ghazal Mir Masood and Waleed Tobeh were the prominent Pakistani sailors who claimed second place in different sailing events.

Mansoor grabbed second spot in the Laser 4.7 class while Ghazal and Waleed snatched second place in the U-11 and U-16 categories.

Ghazal, 10, has also been selected for 11th Asian Sailing Championship in Mumbai.
