DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three people, a local lawyer among them, were gunned down here on the first and second day of Eid (Wednesday and Thursday).

Official sources said that local lawyer Shahid Abbas Sherazi was shot dead by two motorcyclists in Dera Ismail Khan city on Wednesday evening.

Soon after the incident, enraged residents blocked various roads in the city to protest against the killing. They placed the body of the slain lawyer on the road near Kotli Imam Hussain and demanded immediate arrest of his killers.

In another incident of target killing on Thursday, motorcyclists shot dead two brothers hailing from North Waziristan Agency.

Sources said that the two brothers were going to Dera city to buy medicines when they were targeted. Police have registered cas­es against unidentified atta­ck­ers and launched investigation.
