Hill Park CC victorious

KARACHI, Nov 25: Hill Park CC won the Eighth Danish Trophy (Ramazan) cricket tournament beating Shaheen Gymkhana by seven wickets at the KGA Gymkhana ground on Tuesday.

Deciding to bat after winning the toss, Shaheen Gymkhana hit up 155 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs through Salman (42), Sajjad (35), Imran Umer (26) and Nadeem Tariq (23).

Needing 156 runs for victory, Hill Park scored 158 for the loss of three wickets in 19.1 overs. Zafar Iqbal was the top scorer with an unbeaten 51. Haris Jawed weighed in with 34 and Zafar Jadoon (31).

Skipper Shoukat Rajput picked up all the three wickets that fell after conceding 19 runs.

Sham Ramesh from KGA Gymkhana was named the Best Batsman of the tournament. Left-arm spinner Tahir Andy from Shaheen Gymkhana was declared the Best Bowler.
