Beaumont leads whitewash of Pakistan women

KARACHI: Inspired by another Tammy Beaumont century, England women condemned their Pakistan counterparts to a third straight defeat to complete 3-0 whitewash of the One-day International series on Monday.

Having already sealed the rubber with equally emphatic victories in the first two one-dayers, England put up another ruthless performance in Taunton.

The 25-year-old Beaumont followed up her maiden ODI century (104) at Worcester five days ago by hitting up an unbeaten 168 from 144 balls as the hosts amassed 366-4 after skipper Heather Knight opted to bat first at the toss.

Lauren Winfield dominated the first-wicket partnership of 59 with Beaumont by making 43 before Georgia Elwiss arrived to blast a 78-ball 77 while putting on 166 for the second wicket.

Pakistan suffered more punishment as Beaumont and Natalie Sciver (48) added 119 in just nine overs for the third wicket.

Pakistan’s response to the improbable target ended without a fight as seamer Katherine Brunt took 5-30 and Laurie Marsh 3-29. Wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz top scored with 47.

3-0 whitewash of the One-day International series on Monday. England did excellent and huge total 366-4 which are difficult Sana Mir Pak sides regards to Eng Beaumont 168 not out and Elwiss 77. This whitewash shows poor captaincy of Sana Mir - similar Azhar ali in Bangla Wash. The are similar have release themselves from captaincy. Azhar ali we see result of england ODI from Sana mir white wash. PCB have to look into this matter and bring captaincy material players Sana and Azhar have not ODI material.

We are proud of you even if you loose. It will take time for Pakistani women team to come at par with much experienced western teams. The tour will give them the needed exposure.

@Sayeda Fatima Noor, I'm sorry but I don't think you saw the match. This was not a captaincy issue at all, it's purely a fitness and athletics issue. The quality of fast bowling from our team was of a very low level, several dropped catches led to England's total of 300 plus. Our batsman could hardly hit any 4's. The same fitness issue follows our men's team. Cricket is getting competitive we need to evolve or we will be left behind
