LAHORE: Guard shot dead

LAHORE, Dec 30: A security guard was shot dead in Mahmoodi Market, Hanjarwal, on Sunday.

Farmaish Ali, 45, was employed as a security guard at a bakery. On Sunday morning, some unidentified assailants shot him dead and took away his gun.

He was a resident of Awan Town.

FOUND DEAD: The body of an unidentified man, about 40, was found on Bund Road in Shafiqabad on Sunday.

Police claimed that the man was an addict.

FIRE: Fire damaged X-ray machines at the Shuakat Khanam Diagnostic Centre on Jail Road on Sunday.

The fire broke out reportedly due to a short-circuit around 10am. Fire-fighters took an hour to extinguish it. —Staff Reporter
