LARKANA, Nov 24: The Larkana police, investigation, obtained eight days remand of two accused policemen in the murder case of two children from the court of the senior civil judge on Monday.
The policemen, Mumtaz Khokhar, posted at the district intelligence, and Ashiq Abro, posted at the Police Training School, Larkana, were arrested in the murder case of Lakhmir Khokhar and Mujahid Khokhar.
Relatives of the killed boys had a meeting with the two alleged killers outside the court.
The police, talking to this correspondent, quoted Mumtaz as telling the relatives that Ghulam Mustafa Khokhar, another accused in the case who has been sent to the Larkana central prison on 14 days remand, called him to his house through his brother, Najeeb, from his quarter located in the police lines.
He said when he arrived at the house he saw two children were kept hostage in a room. He said Mustafa had put women present at the house in another room and threatened them with dire consequences if they raised hue and cry.
He said later Mustafa took Lakhmir to a bathroom and bashed his head with an iron rod, killing him. The body was dumped in a box in a room.
The other boy, Mujahid, was also killed the same way and his body was buried in a storeroom, the police quoted Mumtaz.
The police said the killers later threw the body of Mujahid into the Rice Canal and buried the body of Lakhmir in an abandoned plot in Shaikh Zayed Colony on Nov 16 and 17.
JIRGA: The feud between Bhutto and Mithani tribesmen was resolved following a Jirga of the tribal chiefs in the Circuit House on Sunday.
The Jirga imposed a fine of Rs370,000 on Mithani tribesmen and Rs85,000 on the Bhuttos. Aamir Khan Bhutto presided over the proceedings .
