SADIQABAD, Nov 23: The Irrigation department has completed remodelling of Ahmadpur Lamma distributary and Bahadurpur minor with an expenditure of Rs30 million.

This was disclosed by Irrigation SDO Muhammad Arshad while talking to newsmen here on Saturday.

He said the daily water release from both the canals was 671 cusecs which was supplied to growers without any discrimination.

He alleged that some influential growers were involved in creating breaches to water their fields.

The SDO assured that the water supply would be continued till Nov 26 to enable the farmers to sow wheat. He said that genuine complaints of the growers would be redressed immediately.
