Al Noor in semis

KARACHI, Nov 22: Al Noor Gymkhana booked a berth in the semifinal in the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan festival, shutting out Aga Khan Gymkhana by 47 runs on Saturday at the Aga Khan Gymkhana ground.

Deciding to bat first after winning the toss, Al Noor CC hit up 215 runs for the loss of five wickets in 25 overs.

Salman Ahmed had a forceful knock of 68 runs and M. Masroor cracked 66 runs. Left-arm spinner Nadeem Musa two for 35 and Pervaiz Issa two for 44 were among the wickets.

Aga Khan Gymkhana in reply were restricted to 168 for the loss of nine wickets. Hasan Raza scored (54), Afzal Baig (34) and Zulfiqar P. Khan (25). Left-arm spinner Aatif Raza had a fine spell of bowling taking four wickets for 33 runs.Masroor took two wickets for 36 runs.
