KARACHI, Nov 22: The Higher Education Commission has postponed GRE-type test (general and specific) for award of PhD scholarships in natural and basic sciences, for France and China respectively, earlier scheduled to be held on Dec 3 at 9am, to Dec 9, 2pm.

The HEC has announced for the candidates concerned that the test would be conduct at the Bahauddin Zakria University, Multan, University of the Punjab, Lahore, University of Peshawar, University of Balochistan, Quetta, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, University of Sindh, Hyderabad Campus, and HEC head office, Islamabad, simultaneously.

It was further announced that admit cards to all the eligible candidates would be dispatched on or before Nov 25.

The applicants, who do not receive the cards on or before Dec 6, have been advised to contact the NTC desk established at their nearest test centre on Dec 8 between 9am and 1pm.

The candidates have been further advised to be present at their respective centres, with admit cards, NICs and service cards, at least one hour before the test begins, failing which they will not be allowed to take the test.—PPI
