RASH driving is the order of the day. Every driver seems to be in a hurry and, hence, poses a danger to the pedestrians and others. Therefore, road accidents have been on the increase. The main cause is the lack of responsibility on the part of drivers. Bus drivers start a race to get ahead of one another. Most roads and turnings are narrow and risky. This results in horrible accidents. I suggest the following steps to check this tendency:
Police checkposts should be set up at regular distances. Surprise raids should be carried out on the plying buses.
The licences of the drivers who indulged in rash driving should be cancelled at once. If bus companies neglect the warning, their route permits should be discontinued.
