KARACHI: Sharp shooters of Army and Sindh brought some life in the otherwise one-sided 23rd National Shooting Championship on day five at the PN Shooting Range, Karsaz, on Wednesday.

The soldiers gave tough time to dominating sailors adding three more golds, as many silvers and a bronze to their overnight tally to finish the day with 5-11-8.

Siddique Umar gave Army their third gold in 3xp rifle (individual). Their fourth gold came in the team event of the same category before the soldiers annexed another gold medal in Trap Olympic team event.

Usman Sadiq did Sindh proud by striking gold in the Trap Olympic individual event.

Meanwhile, Navy took their overall medals tally to 23-13-8 to lead the table.

10m Air pistol: 1-M. Shahzad (Navy) 775.8 pts; 2-Kaleemullah (Army) 770.3 pts; 3-Uzair Ahmed (Navy) 749.2 pts

Trap Olympic (individual): 1-Usman Sadiq (Sindh) 137 pts; 2-Maj Farukh (Army) 136 pts; 3-Gen Zafar (Army) 133 pts

Trap Olympic (team event): 1-Army 327 pts; 2-Navy 317 pts; 3-Sindh 289 pts.
