KARACHI: Holders Navy added two more golds and a silver medal to their overnight tally on the third day to maintain their stranglehold on the 23rd National Shooting Championship at PN Shooting Range Karsaz on Monday.

The sailors, who amassed 25 (14-7-4) medals the other day, finished the day with 28 (16-8-4) to enjoy complete command on the medals table.

Army are way behind the leaders with 14 (2-6-6) medals after they added a silver and bronze to their second day’s results.

Hosts PAF are trailing third with three silvers and five bronze followed by Sindh with one silver and one bronze.

The HEC and Punjab have seized one bronze medal apiece while Balochistan and Federal Rifle Association (FRA) have failed to win any medal so far.

Women’s:

Air Rifle: 1-Minhal (Navy) 614 pts; 2-Mehak Fatima (Navy) 595.1 pts; 3-Capt Naheeda (Army) 566.8 pts.

Air Rifle Qualification round: 1-Minhal Sohail (Navy) 411. 3 pts; 2-Mehak Fatima (Navy) 396 pts; 3-Capt Naheeda Naqvi (Army) 387.4 pts.

Air Rifle team event: 1-Navy 1195.9 pts, 2-Army 1146.5 pts, 3-HEC 1100.4 pts.
