LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Thursday set up a protest camp on The Mall against the government’s ‘stubbornness’ on Panama Leaks issue.

Earlier, PTI MPAs and workers, led by opposition leader Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, staged a protest walk from the assembly to Faisal Chowk.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards bearing inscriptions against the government for its stance on Panama issue. PPP’s deputy parliamentary leader Sardar Shahabuddin and PML-Q’s Sardar Waqas Hasan Moakal also participated in the protest camp.

Addressing the protesters, the opposition leader said the ‘corrupt’ rulers had lost the moral ground to stay in power and they would have to go home. He said the matters would be at a standstill till the resignation of the PM.

He said only Imran Khan would now be able to drive the country out of crisis.

Meanwhile, PTI chief’s adviser on health Dr Yasmin Rashid says 30pc facilities in hospitals are ineffective for want of staff and medicines.

On the other hand, she said, the “darbaris” of Nawaz and Shahbaz were busy in spending extravagantly on extravagant projects. She said the government was not interested in improving healthcare facilities. Tehsil headquarters hospitals all over Punjab were the most hit in the absence of healthcare facilities.

With the rise in temperature, she said, there were ample chances of gastro outbreak but the government had so far taken no precautionary measures.
