PESHAWAR: Cricket legend-turned-politician Imran Khan on Tuesday inaugurated the biggest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-23 Inter-regional Games carrying more than 3000 male and female athletes here at Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium.

The Games, carrying competitions in 15 events for males and 13 for females, will be played at different venues and continue for three days.

Besides Imran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Minister Mehmood Khan, former Information Minister Shah Farman, Minister for Education Atif-ur-Rehman, Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ghani, Chief Secretary KP Amjad Ali Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Azam Khan, Additional Secretary Sports and Tourism Tariq Khan, Chairman of the Organising Committee and Deputy Secretary Sprots Adil Saeed Safi, Director General Sports Miss Rashida Ghaznavi and former squash world champion Qamar Zaman were also present.
