Led by Abdul Aziz Bhanbhro, they said in the past two years the district government had never observed 21st Ramazan as a public holiday but this year it was announced as a holiday to cancel the scheduled session of the district council.

Meanwhile, District Nazim Nafisa Shah, in the presence of Awam Dost Panel Nazims, told journalists she was prepared to face no-trust move if it was tabled against her.

About the next session of the district council being held on Tuesday, she said the district council hall would remain closed till the issue of officiating the district Naib Nazim was resolved.

She said in case the opposition conducted a session of the district council, it would be a an illegal act which would be followed by a legal action against the participants of the session.

Ms Shah said the office of the Naib Nazim had been illegally vacated.

Thari Mirwah Taluka Nazim Ali Gul Bozdar said the ADP Nazims were being pressured by the opposition through the police to change their loyalties. He said they were being threatened that they would be sent to lockups if they did not support the opposition.
