HYDERABAD: Two injured

HYDERABAD, Nov 17: A boy, Amit Thadhani, son of the regional manager, Dawn Group of Newspapers, L. S. Thadhani, was injured at his shop in Citizens Plaza when three armed men, who came to commit a robbery, opened fire with a mouser on Monday.

The bullets hit Amit on the left arm. He was also hit on the head with the butt of the mouser as a result of which he fell unconscious.

The gangsters snatched two mobile telephones, a gold locket and a gold chain from Amit and fled in their blue-coloured motorcycle.

A girl, who was coming out of the shop, was also injured on being hit by a bullet.

Police arrived there when they were contacted at 15.

Amit was taken to the Civil Hospital where he received two stitches on the head and also provided first aid. He is reported to be out of danger.

The girl was taken to a private hospital by her relatives.
