Protest rally held in Mansehra

MANSEHRA, Oct 12: Despite a ban on rallies and demonstration imposed by district Nazim, a big protest rally was staged on the call of Defence of Afghanistan Council here on Friday.

Thousands of demonstrators participated in the rally which later turned into a public meeting at main chowk.

Speakers from religious and political parties expressed solidarity with Afghans and vowed to fight against the US.

They demanded that America must immediately stop attacks on Afghanistan.

They warned that if the government did not withdraw its support to America, they would be left with no other option but to carry out suicide attacks on the US solders who use the country’s airspace and airfields against Afghanistan.

They warned that America, after completing its mission in Afghanistan, would turn towards Pakistan to destroy its nuclear capabilities.

Enraged protesters also set the effigy of US President Bush on fire.
