Brandon Stanton, the man behind the popular photo blog 'Humans of New York' (HONY) Monday wrote an open letter to Republican front-runner Donald Trump, accusing him of encouraging prejudice and violence in the pursuit of personal power.

The letter terms Trump, who is in the news for calling for a Muslim ban in US, racial profiling and more recently for saying Muslims hate the US, as the ‘victim of the very anger that you’ve joyfully inflamed for months,' and that he is not 'presidential'.

"I’ve watched you take 48 hours to disavow white supremacy. I’ve watched you joyfully encourage violence, and promise to ‘pay the legal fees’ of those who commit violence on your behalf. I’ve watched you advocate the use of torture and the murder of terrorists’ families. I’ve watched you gleefully tell stories of executing Muslims with bullets dipped in pig blood. I’ve watched you compare refugees to ‘snakes,’ and claim that ‘Islam hates us.’" reads the letter.

A photo blogger, Stanton clarifies that he does not wish to indulge in politics and claims that he refused to interview Trump's fellow candidates, as he does not wish to take sides but felt that it is not a political but a 'moral' responsibility to oppose Trump.

About his anti-Muslim stance, Stanton, in the letter says that he conducted extensive interviews with hundreds of Muslims on the streets of Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan and also met hundreds of Syrian and Iraqi refugees across seven different countries and can confirm that the hateful one is Trump, not Muslims.
