Charji Evo

I WOULD like to draw the PTCL’s attention to the disappointing performance of Charji wireless device.

When I bought it, it worked well for a few days, giving amazingly high-speed downloads. But then suddenly something happened, the download speed took a nose-dive, at times giving 9kb download speed. Worse still, the connection drops every now and then and one has to refresh the connection to get hooked on again to the internet.

The irony is that I live just a few houses away from the main telephone exchange in Hayatabad, and the PTCL towers are visible from our rooftops. When I checked with the local PTCL authorities, I was told that since Hayatabad has a high density of educated people and many internet users, the Charji speed has been affected, particularly on weekends.

My only question is why didn’t the authorities concerned think about it? Now they say they have written to the headquarters to install additional equipment to boost the download speed but it would take some time. Why are they selling the device when they know it is not going to work? Why are we required to pay for Charji when it is not even onejee?
