KHAAR, Nov 10: The Water and Power Development Authority with the help of the political authorities has disconnected power supply to the Afghan refugee camps in the Bajaur Agency and arrested over 20 people for supplying electricity to the refugees living in the suburban villages. The refugees, numbering over 50,000, were not paying electricity charges.
Wapda staff removed all the power transformers from the camps, which caused hardship to the refugees because of the cold weather.
