PBC to hold Services Bar elections

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9: Pakistan Bar Council on Sunday said due to differences among the members of the Pakistan Services Bar Association, it would hold elections of the Services Bar.

A meeting of the executive committee of the Pakistan Bar Council on Sunday said that after hearing the parties in the petitions it was decided that the council would itself hold elections of the PBC.

The PBC’s executive committee, headed by Mohammad Kazim Khan, was attended by Hamid Khan, Abdul Haleem Pirzada, Qazi Mohammad Jamil, and Malik Rab Nawaz Noon.

The PBC issued schedule for the association elections. According to the schedule, record of membership would have to be submitted with the secretary PBC by Nov 15. The filing of nominations would start on Dec 8 and the polls would be held on Dec 20.
