HYDERABAD, Nov 9: Teachers of Kotri, under the banner of the Government Secondary Teachers Association, held a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Saturday.

Led by Syed Qutbul Hasnain Shah, Mohammad Ayub Mallah, Fida Hussain Solangi and others, the teachers were protesting against the suspension of Dadu GSTA president Rafiq Ahmad Jatoi and general-secretary Abdul Hameed Memon by the EDO, education.

Talking to journalists, they said the GSTA leaders were suspended for highlighting corrupt activities of education officials.

They demanded immediate reinstatement of the leaders, removal of the EDO and promotions according to the seniority list.

They further demanded that hundreds of vacant posts of teachers in different schools should be filled on the basis of merit.
