Pye dog bites six persons, 21 animals

KHAIRPUR, Dec 28: Six persons and 21 animals were bitten by a pye dog in village Ghaheri of taluka Sobhodero on Thursday.

The victims included Abdullah, Amir Ali, Mohammad Ayal, Mohammad Sadiq, two women, 10 goats, five cows, five buffaloes and one donkey.

Later the villagers gunned down the pye dog.

FIRE: The house of one Nanek Ram caught fire on Thursday night in Priyaloi near here.

One colour TV, gold ornaments, cash and other valuables were reduced to ashes.

It is said that one of the family member left a candle burning which caused the fire.

NARCOTICS SEIZED: A police party of A-section police, Khairpur, raided the residence of one Wali Mohammad Umrani in Palh village, near Begmaji, the other day and arrested him.

The police conducted raid on an information of narcotics (Bhang) at the residence of the accused.

The police seized 6 maunds and 35 kilograms of Bhang and one CD-70 motorcycle from his possession.
