Injured policeman dies

PESHAWAR: A police official of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), who had received injuries in an attack two days ago, expired at the Lady Reading Hospital here on Sunday.

The CTD official identified as Nasir Khan was attacked by unidentified motorcyclists when he was standing outside his residence in Shaheen Muslim Town, in the limits of Phandu police station on Friday.

Police had registered FIR against unknown terrorists in the concerned police station.

Meanwhile, officials of the Agha Mir Jani police station recovered a body of an unknown person from the Hazarkhwani Canal. According to police, there were no torture marks or bullet injuries on the body.
