ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted an anti-encroachment operation in Blue Area on Monday, demolishing over 50 illegal sheds and cabins.

CDA’s anti-encroachment team, led by Director Enforcement Ishrat Taj Warsi, conducted the operation against 18 commercial plazas which were encroaching on the civic body’s land.

A CDA official said: “Illegal structures, cabins, washrooms and other encroachments were removed in Blue Area. Savour Foods’ encroachments on one side were also removed.”

He said temporary stores, barriers and hurdles were also demolished.

CDA Spokesperson Ramzan Sajid said the operation will continue in various parts of the city.
