DERA MURAD JAMALI: A young girl was killed and her alleged paramour injured when her father opened fire at them in Chattar tehsil of Nasirabad district on Sunday, police said.

Dilawar, the girl’s father who was said to be accompanied by two accomplices, allegedly attacked the two in Goth Kundi area.

The girl died on the spot and the injured man was identified as Taj Mohammad.

The man was taken to a local hospital by the police. Later, Taj was taken to Larkana because of his serious condition. The attackers fled the crime scene. “This is an incident of honour killing,” said a police official, adding that a case had been registered and investigation was under way.
