ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reviewed on Friday progress on efforts aimed at holding population and housing census in the country in March.

The preparatory work for census is in full swing across the country which had been divided in geographical areas with circles and blocks to count people within a block in 15 days, according to a PBS press release.

The meeting chaired by the Chief Statistician, Asif Bajwa, was informed that District Census Officers had been designated all over the country and census representatives had been deputed with District Census Officers to look after the pre-census activities.

A refresher course for the census staff will be held at the headquarters and provincial offices in the first week of February.
