PESHAWAR, Nov 6: NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah on Thursday appreciated the federal government’s initiatives for the welfare of women and disabled persons in the province as well as the tribal areas, saying that the provincial government would extend all possible help in this regard.

He said this during a meeting with Neelofar Bakhtair, advisor to the prime minister on women development, social welfare and special education, who called on him at the Governor’s House here on Thursday.

He appreciated a proposal to launch a display centre to promote local handicraft.—Bureau
