LAHORE: The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) organised a book fair here on Wednesday.

Leading international and local booksellers and publishers displayed their latest collections in the corridors of the academic block.

A large number of students and faculty members visited the fair and bought books of their interest.

Meanwhile, a three-day workshop on computational chemistry began at the Department of Chemistry, Forman Christian College.

It was organised in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Royal Society of Chemistry Pakistan and Novamed Pharmaceuticals.

In the inaugural session, Dr. James A Tebbe, rector of the FC College, highlighted the role of computational chemistry in design and development of new drugs.

He said the workshop would not only be a step towards bringing scientists on a par with the developed world but also provide opportunities of practical training to the faculty and PhD scholars.
