Telecom policy launched

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Tech­nology and Telecom­muni­cations Anusha Rehman on Monday emphasised the need for working together for making Pakistan the best IT sector destination.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of Pakistan Tele­com­­munications Policy-2015 here, she said the new policy would boost IT sector in the country.

The minister commended the efforts of Pakistan Tele­communication Authority (PTA) and her ministry for formulating the new policy.

Pakistan Telecom­muni­ca­tion Authority (PTA) Chair­man Dr Syed Ismail Shah congratulated the minister for achieving global achievement award.

He also appreciated his team for formulating the new IT policy and attributed this achievement to team-work.

He said the industry other stakeholders, including PTA, should work together for further promotion of IT sector.
