Four convicted

KASUR, Nov 4: An additional district and sessions judge sentenced four people in a double murder case on Tuesday.

The judge handed down death sentence to convicts Bashir Masih and Mahangi Masih and life imprisonment to Rafiq Masih on one count. The judge also gave five years’ rigorous imprisonment to Sahib Masih and Bashir Masih while acquitted their co-accused Chanan Masih by giving him the benefit of doubt.

The convicts had shot dead Bao and Sarwar over a petty issue in Bhambey Kalan village Raiwind Saddar in 1999.
