PESHAWAR, Nov 4: NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has asked the tax collectors to bring positive changes in their way of working and public dealing.

While talking during a briefing on the working of the Income Tax Department on Tuesday, the governor said we expected a positive change in the attitudes of the officials in order to develop a pleasant relationship between the tax payers and the tax collectors.

Referring to the plight of the salaried class, the governor said the tax payers should be given due opportunities to advocate their point of views with regard to any misunderstanding.

The governor was of the view that a simplified procedure towards self-assessment process could lead to bring a positive result.
