LAHORE: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited the residence of slain Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer to participate in the birthday ceremony of Shaheryar Taseer.

Accompanied by Bakhtawar and Aseefa, Mr Bilawal greeted Shaheryar on his birthday and discussed political matters. Only selected friends and family members were gathered on the occasion.

According to a PPP leader, the actual date of birth of Shaheryar is Jan 4 but since Salmaan Taseer was assassinated on the same date Shaheryar does not celebrate his birthday on that date. He celebrates it on Jan 9. He said Ms Benazir Bhutto used to visit Taseer’s house and discuss political matters with him.

Bilawal is in Lahore on a four-day visit. On Sunday (today), they will attend a mass wedding ceremony while Bilawal will address the Lahore High Court Bar on Monday and meet party leaders from central and south Punjab.
