KARACHI, Nov 3: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has ordered early finalization of the plan of a proposed sports complex at the MA Jinnah Road.

He was presiding over a high-level meeting at the Governor’s House on Monday, held to review the proposed project for implementation.

Sindh Sports Minister Naeem Ishtiaq, Local Government Advisor Waseem Akhtar, Chief Secretary Dr Mutawakkil Kazi, Principal Secretary Brig Akhtar Zamin, Additional Chief Secretaries Mohammad Saleem Khan and Ghulam Sarwar Kherio, Sports and Culture Secretary Gul Mohammad Umrani, Housing Secretary Ashfaq Memon and other officials attended the meeting.

The governor expressed dissatisfaction over progress of work on the project, which had been lying pending for many years.

He directed departments concerned to finalize various aspects of the project in a transparent manner and fix certain deadlines for for their completion. He further asked CS to co-ordinate the execution of the plan relevant departments.—PPI
