HYDERABAD, Nov 3: MPA Abdur Rehman Rajput has congratulated district Nazim Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman for his efforts in getting a development package for the city.

In a statement issued on Monday, he regretted that some people were trying to sabotage this package. He alleged that Rs500 million grant, announced by the former Sindh governor Mohammadmian Soomro was returned and unfortunately this grant had not been released by the incumbent governor.

He appealed to the parties not to play politics on funds otherwise this historic city would be ruined.

He demanded that Rs500 million should immediately be released to the district government and added the district government should be given authority to implement the development package.

He opposed the formation of committees at the government level, saying it was creating hurdles in the development work.

LUMHS: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences on Monday notified the final list of candidates selected for first professional BDS, 2003-2004 session.
