ISLAMABAD, Nov 1: The capital territory police have arrested an Indian national on charges of illegally entering Pakistan here on Saturday, police said.
Gul Parbat Singh, 32, son of Manjeet Singh, an Indian national, was arrested by Kohsar police as they spotted him acting suspiciously in an area of their jurisdiction last night.
During investigation, the Indian national, who could not provide any valid document for his stay in Pakistan, told police that he had come to Islamabad after being trapped by a travelling agent.
He said, first he went to Dubai where an agent met him and promised him a good job in Greece but instead of taking him there, he took him to Turkey where he was arrested by the immigration authorities.
The police said he was made to board a Quetta-bound flight from Turkey. The authorities there refused to grant his request that he be sent to his native country India.
Meanwhile, some unidentified men broke into the house of Sohail Hussain in F-7/1 in the jurisdiction of Kohsar police station. They made off with Rs2,500, gold ornaments, gold wristwatches and other household articles, police said.
