Three die in Pindi, Islamabad

RAWALPINDI, Oct 30: Three persons died in separate incidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Thursday, police said.

In the first incident, Iyaz Mehmood, 32, who had been jobless since long, shot himself to death in Saddar Baruni area on Thursday.

Mehmood Abbasi, the elder brother of the victim, told the police that his brother was in great distress due to joblessness. On Thursday, he went into his room and shot himself to death.

In the second incident, Mohammad Akbar, a resident of Gangmandi, was shot dead by some unidentified persons outside his house on Thursday night.

Police said Akbar was heading towards his house when some unidentified persons gunned him down and escaped.

Preliminary investigation indicates old enmity as cause for the murder.

Meanwhile, Tarnol police found a mutilated body of an unidentified person lying in the green fields. Police said a passer-by spotted the body and informed the police.
