SHEIKHUPURA: A police van hit a truck on Lahore Road near Khanpur Canal on Wednesday where the truck driver was killed and four police officials were injured.

Six patrolling police personnel were in the van when it hit the truck while overtaking another vehicle. The truck overturned because of the impact of the hit and driver Arshad died.

NANKANA: The three-day 547th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Gru Nanak concluded in Nankana Sahib on Wednesday.

More than 10,000 Sikhs and Hindus from Pakistan, India, UAE, Europe and other countries participated in the festivities. The main even of the programme was the holly Gru Grunth procession which was taken out on Wednesday.

Pilgrims carrying flags and swords participated in the procession from Gurdawara Janam Asthan to Gurdawara Kyara Sahib.
