19,000 files of cases stolen

BAHAWALPUR, Dec 26: Over 19,000 files of court cases were allegedly taken away by some unknown persons on Tuesday night from the record room of the district courts.

Police said that four thieves had tied the watchman with a rope and unlocked the record room. Later, they fled after collecting files pertaining to criminal and civil cases and their judgments of local courts.

Police have sealed the FIR.
