ABBOTTABAD: The Chief of Army Staff Overall Champions Trophy was awarded to Sher Khan Shaheed House at the parents day and prize distribution ceremony of the Army Burns Hall College for Boys here on Saturday.

Lt-Gen (r) Ayaz Salim Rana, who was chief guest on the occasion, advised the students to prepare themselves for taking on future challenges. He said the responsibilities rested on the shoulders of youth to safeguard and protect the boundaries of the motherland.

Earlier, the college principal, Brig Mukhtar, presented the institute’s annual report. He said the college occupied unique position among the country’s leading educational institutions.

The principal said a large number of students of the college joined different professional institutions and the army.

Brig Mukhtar said besides focusing on the achievements of academic excellence, the college management paid due attention to personality development of students by exposing them to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

A club exhibition was also arranged on the school gallery.

The chief guest distributed prizes and shields among the students in sports and academic achievements.
