KARACHI, Oct 27: The Board of Intermediate Education on Monday declared results of HSC Part-I, Science (pre-engineering and general), annual examinations-2003.

As many as 21,014 candidates, including 4,870 females, appeared in the pre-engineering examination, while another 2,749 candidates, including 557 females, took the General group examination.

Results of 36 candidates in the two groups were withheld for want of correct information or on the account of using unfair means.

The break down of the candidates who cleared the examinations is as follows; pre-engineering; 7,769 candidates passed all six papers, 3,242 candidates passed five papers, 3,165 passed four, 4,238 passed three, 1,805 passed two, while 629 candidates passed only one paper.

Science General; 887 candidates passed six papers, 623 five papers, 613 four papers, 333 passed three, 178, two and 87 candidates passed only one paper.
