He gave the direction during a meeting on the bill arranged by the Chief Minister’s Special Unit on Law and Order whose senior member Salman Sufi elaborated different amendments inserted in the bill after several meetings with stakeholders, especially MPAs, who had opposed it on different grounds.

The meeting was attended by ministers of social welfare and women development, Leader of the Opposition Mian Mehmoodur Rashid and women MPAs.

Mian Rashid was informed that a suggestion given by one of his party’s MPAs had been included in the bill. He was requested to forward any other amendment to the bill if he desired so by Friday (today).

Officials said the law minister ordered his department to table the bill on Monday or in the next session of the assembly.
