KARACHI, Oct 26: Bandits either hijacked or stole 116 vehicles, 43 cars and 73 motorcycles, during the past one week in various parts of the metropolis.

According to the police statistics, 25 cars were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 18 others were stolen in North Nazimabad, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, F.B Area, Clifton, Defence, Saddar, Lyari and Ferozabad.

Twenty-five motorcycles were hijacked and 48 stolen in F.B. Area, North Karachi, Clifton, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Aziz Bhatti and Saeedabad, Zaman town and other areas.

The police also claimed to have recovered 64 stolen cars and motorcycles during the past one week from different parts of the city.
