LAHORE: Various civil society organisations will hold a protest in front of the Shalamar Gardens on Sunday (today) at 3pm in an ongoing bid to press the government to change route of the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project and save historical monuments.

According to a press release issued by the organisations on Saturday, social and rights activists, individuals and groups will gather at Shalamar intersection and protest against alleged violations committed by the government by passing elevated track of the metro train near Chauburji and Shalamar Gardens despite the law forbidding construction up to 200 feet from any officially announced protected heritage site.
