QUETTA, Oct 25: Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has said the project to supply gas to Ziarat will help save the old Sanober and other forests that are our national heritage.

He was speaking at a function on Saturday in Ziarat arranged by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) that provided gas cylinders and stoves free of cost to the people.

The governor expressed the hope that now the people would benefit from this facility and would not fell trees to use them as fuel. Kalat would also get the supply soon, he held out assurance.

He assured that the government would continue this process of development and in this regard, we are making efforts to strengthen the democratic political system in the province.

Ziarat Nazim Sardar Eshanullah Domar, SSGC General Manager Sirajuddin Sheikh also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Sheikh said the SSGC had spent Rs1 million to provide gas cylinders and stoves to the people.
