LAHORE: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali along with his father and senior PML-N leader from Faisalabad Chaudhry Sher Ali called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Monday and discussed their complaints against the rival group led by Rana Sanaullah in the local polls in Faisalabad district.

The meeting had reportedly been arranged on the direction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as Chaudhry Sher had publicly spoken even against the chief minister while blaming Law Minister Rana Sana for masterminding the killing of political rivals in Faisalabad.

Chaudhry Sher is a relative of Nawaz’s wife Begum Kulsoom.

The press release issued after the meeting did not divulge anything, however, sources said the CM assured Chaudhry Sher of resolution of all their complaints regarding local body polls.

Chaudhry Sher was quoted as expressing full confidence in the leadership of the prime minister and the chief minister. He said the PML-N was his own party and promised to respect every decision of the party leadership.
